Family Holiday Travel Insurance

Definition of Family

For the purposes of our family travel insurance rates a family is: Up to 2 adults - Insured and/or spouse/civil partner/partner residing at the same address and up to 4 dependent children under the age of 18 (23 if in full time education) either residing at the same address or in full time education.

Types of travel insurance

Assuming neither adult is over 65, the following pages have information on rates available for family travel insurance. Using the quotation system provides accurate premiums with online purchasing capability.

Annual Travel Insurance (family rates: both adults under 50)
Over 50 Annual Travel Insurance (family rates: one or both adults aged 50 to 65)
Over 50 travel insurance (Single trip travel insurance for families if the adults are aged 50 to 65 - for up to 93 days)
Long Stay Travel Insurance (Family rates : both adults under 50 - up to 12 months cover)
Over 50 long stay travel insurance (as above, save ages over 50)
Single trip Travel Insurance (rates for both adults under 50)

Independent Travel

All family members named on the schedule can travel independently of each other for annual multi trips.

Medical conditions

All medical conditions have to be disclosed and cover specifically obtained through a medical screening line.

A pre-existing medical condition exists if you or anyone in your family or anyone upon whose health the trip depends have:-

Been prescribed medication or received treatment or attended a medical practitioner's surgery in the last two years.
Attended a hospital or clinic as an out-patient or in-patient in the last two years
Been currently put on a waiting list for treatment or investigation
Been diagnosed by a medical practitioner as suffering from a terminal illness.
