Cheap Home Insurance at Portwood's

  •  Insure £50,000 home contents and either £300,000 or £500,000 Home Buildings from £135 + IPT (£80 + IPT for contents only, £110 +IPT for buildingsd only) - a £10.00 policy fee also applies

  • Extend insurance policy to cover all-risks on valuables and electrical items (laptops/ i-phones etc).

Do you qualify for the Home insurance policy?

  • The home must be in the UK of standard construction, in good condition, built after 1700, not listed and not in a flood or subsidence area. There must not be more than 5 bedrooms (or rooms that were once bedrooms).

  • You must not need more than £50,000 contents cover, £300,000 (1-3 bedroom) or £500,000 buildings cover

  • If your valuables exceed £16,667 or any single value exceeds £5,000 then the full value will not be paid in the event of a claim (valuables exceeding £5,000 can be insured under the personal possessions section - receipts will be required).

  • There must not have been more than ONE claim, not exceeding £5,000 in the last three years.

  • Unless a first-time buyer, the previous policy must have expired within the last 30 days.
